Tour Detail
Designed as a nice relaxing way to enjoy the Canterbury Plains, the Little River Rail Trail and harbourside lifestyle of Banks Peninsula. Your tour starts with cycling through the Christchurch suburbs to the start of the Little River Rail Trail. Staying the night in of the University town of Lincoln before continuing along the country roads and then back onto the Rail Trail. The Rail Trail skirts the flanks of ancient volcanoes, hugs the shores of Lake Ellesmere / Te Waihora and Lake Forsyth and ends in a picturesque farming village of Little River. Here there’s time for a late lunch before arriving at your accommodation for the night. Little River has walking options or you can  just relax before dinner. Day 3 sees you cycling over to Diamond Harbour via Gebbies Pass and alongside the Lyttleton Harbour. On the last day,  you catch the ferry to the port town of Lyttleton before cycling over the Port Hills back to Christchurch.
