Little River Rail Trail Bike Hire
Natural High has a large selection of rental bikes to suit all tastes. The Little River Rail Trail is hard pack gravel which suits mountain bikes with road tyres. We recommend the Trek 4500 Basic Mountain Bike.
All bike hires include a lock, multi tool, tyre levers, spare tube, repair kits. We also have a range of bike accessories including panniers, day bags, bob trailers, child trailers and all your other cycle touring needs.
We offer a range of services for the Little River Rail Trail, including bicycle rental and gear pick up from our shop in Christchurch. We also offer transfers to Motukarara, the Quarry and Little River. Transfers are on request only and depart at 9am from Natural High. Return pick-ups are from Little River between 3pm- 3.30pm. The cost for this service is $25 one way or $45 return per person.
You can also book a one way hire to Little River, with the option of continuing your adventure to Akaroa by shuttle bus (a relocation fee applies for this service).

Te Waihora/Lake Ellesmere supports a large population of fish. Fifteen indigenous fish species have been recorded, and five exotics - even basking sharks and sea horses have been spotted in the lake waters.
